WhatsApp is bringing new features, messages will not be deleted from the linked device

Experimenting with the latest features of the instant messaging app WhatsApp is nothing new. For the convenience of the users, this messaging platform always brings a lot of updates which prove to be quite effective. By the way, it has been heard for some time that WhatsApp is working on a special feature called ‘linked device’ or ‘multi-device support’. The name implies that if this feature is enabled, users will be able to access chats on the messaging platform from multiple devices (possibly four), so there is no need to keep the smartphone around all the time. However, WhatsApp is also going to roll out another notable message deleting feature associated with this ‘multi-device support’ feature.

According to WhatsApp's feature development tracking blog 'WaBetaInfo', the messaging app is going to come up with a feature that will not allow users to delete chats from linked devices. The image posted on the blog site shows that if users choose to delete a chat from the original device or a linked device, a dialog box will immediately appear on the screen. In it, WhatsApp will make it clear that, “Deleting or deleting the entire chat will only remove messages from this device. Messages will not be removed from other devices. "

This means that deleting a message from a specific device does not mean that the chat will be automatically deleted from the rest of the linked devices.

In that case, the messaging app owned by Facebook will initially give their users no option to delete the chat from the main device as well as other linked devices. However, since the feature is still under development, we should not jump to conclusions right now.
